Five years after the presidential election of November 2011 in The Gambia, citizens have to vote for a new president. This vote gives WATHI an opportunity to launch an initiative to inform on political, economic, social and cultural realities of the Gambia. The election will oppose three candidates : Yahya Jammeh the incumbent President, Adama Barrow who resigned as the head of his party (the United Democratic Party, UDP) to lead the opposition, and Mamma Kandeh.
